I was born and raised in London and continue to be based here. The capital city has and remains a constant source of inspiration.
I am particularly fascinated by the way the skyline is forever changing as more and more new architecture appears next to old established landmarks. Humour is very much at the heart of my work which is helpful in style yet still aims to ensure that the buildings represented and their surroundings are constantly recognizable.
All the works are created in acrylic paint on canvas using flat areas of bright colour and a strong line. They are based on a combination of sketched and photos taken on location and nod to the Fauvist London paintings of Andre Derain, the Pop Art of Roy Lichtenstein and contemporary art of Michael Craig Martin.
