My practice involves the found image and its subsequent translation into painting. I enjoy the process of painting and especially the immediacy of acrylics, as it allows me to re-present images that we may have seen before, within a new and exciting arena.
Working predominantly from photographs and magazines, my subject matter focuses on people; recycling imagery is important to my general concerns, so there are so many undervalued images which haven't yet been fully explored.
My three years at Chelsea College of Art and Design allowed me the time I needed to begin to experiment with figurative and portrait painting and since then, I have developed a style that is realistic and exhibited internationally.
